Raynor Park is a well-established, older, urban neighborhood located in Joliet, Illinois. Some of the residences were even built before 1940. This charming neighborhood is located near the Des Plaines River and blocks away from Lincoln Highway (Rt 30), Broadway (Rt 53) and Interstate I80. 

Schools

Families with children choose from the public schools of Joliet Elementary District 86 and High School District 204, or several nearby parochial schools, including Cathedral of St. Raymond and Joliet Catholic Academy.

For families pursuing higher level education, Joliet Junior College and the University of St. Francis offer degree and certificate programs, as well as a full calendar of athletic and cultural events.

Shopping

With a new home at Raynor Park, living just got easier because everything you need is conveniently located. Grocery stores like Jewel/Osco and ElGuiero offer a grand food selection and even ethnic groceries. There are several local outlets such as TJ Maxx and Marshall’s for fashion and CVS, K-Mart and WalMart for nearly everything else. And for the do-it-yourselfers there is a Home Depot, Menards and Sears. 

A short drive up US Route 30 (Plainfield Road) takes you to Louis Joliet Mall where you’ll find dozens of national retailers and department stores such as Carson Pirie Scott, Macy’s and JC Penny. And during the late summer and early fall at the mall you’ll even find the Will County Farmer’s Market too!

Community

For residents who like to keep busy, the Joliet Park District offers great choices. Not just the usual parks, playgrounds and ballfields, although there are plenty of those. But, there is also a greenhouse, community organic garden, ice arena, water park, golf course, and nature center. There are plenty of restaurants to go out with family and friends and even a multi-screen movie theater.

The Inwood Athletic Club offers special rates for Joliet residents and makes it easy to stay fit, with state-of-the-art equipment, aquatics, and group classes, including special sessions for those 50 and older.  And for the comfort of peace of mind for medical emergencies Provena St. Joseph’s and Silver Cross are hospitals, Joilet Police Dept. and Joliet Fire Dept. are all near by .
